Ferrite Stainless Steel

Cold processing and weldability of ferrite system stainless steel are excellent. SUS430 is a representative steel which is comprised of 18%Cr (chrome).
The physical and mechanical characteristics, resembles that of ordinary steel, which is magnetic in substance.
Although some stiffness occurs due to cold processing, there is occurrence of hardenability.
Compared with Austenite systems, the cost is lower and cracking, related to residual corrosion, is also less.
Also, since corrosion resistance and processability are far better than Martensite systems, it is used in a wide variety of household products, as well as in automotive components.
